The quake hit at a depth of 59 kilometers, round 1,400 kilometers northeast of the Jap metropolis of Sapporo, the USGS added.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center talked about “handiest very little tsunami waves were generated by this earthquake and there might be never any extra risk.”
